A generous woman want to save a 16-year-old cat who is about to be put down. DownnLahmia When Mareeal Marano

opened a text message from a friend who works at a veterinary clinic, she saw a photo of Maxx, a 16-year-old cat, staring back at her.

Despite Maxx’s excellent condition, his owner had strolled in and ordered that he be executed, according to her acquaintance. They were doing everything they could to keep it from happening by finding him a new home.

“I tried my hardest to find him a home and I almost did it, but they couldn’t take him in the end,” Marano said in an interview with The Dodo.

“On Thursday, I was told that if Maxx didn’t find a home, he would be put down at the owner’s request.”

I couldn’t let that happen, so the next day I got in my car and traveled the hour and a half to fetch him.”

The cat was in agony and terrified since he had been locked for several days inside the building site in an iron frame.

After sadly losing her own kittens, the protective mother cat vehemently opposes our attempts to touch her helpless offspring.
