An important day in the life of Brody, a young chocolate Labrador, occurred when he joined the Bristol Police Department in Rhode Island.
April 6, 2020, was the day of his ceremonial swearing-in ceremony, a critical event for any newcomer to the community.
Unfortunately, Brody’s ceremony was on a Monday, a day notorious for difficulties. Brody was probably pleased to begin his new position, but he seemed more concerned with getting some shut-eye that day.
This 12-week-old pup managed to sleep through the whole swearing-in ceremony, allowing his mate, Officer Keith Medeiros, to stand in for him. Bristol, Rhode Island’s police department broadcast the event live on their official Facebook page, and it instantly went viral.
Police Chief Kevin Lynch was raving about Brody as he slept soundly on the desk. Brody was obviously on a mission to get his beauty rest, as he only woke up long enough to pose for a snapshot.
