If you believe cats are dumb compared to dogs, you’re in for a big surprise. Cats, like dogs, may be taught to do tricks if their owners are patient and persistent.
A concerned cat parent decided to put an end to the discussion once and for all. Zoe (zoee___h) posted a video on TikTok showing her dad teaching the family cat some impressive canine maneuvers.
The movie is brief, but long enough to indicate that cats can learn simple instructions and tricks as well. In the clip, Zoe’s dad plays with their beautiful Birman, named Frank, on the floor.
He seems to be holding a dish of food for Frank, but before doing so, he gives the cat several tricks to do.
When Dad says, “Sit down,” the cat does so without batting an eye. After that, he needs Frank to lend him a paw. Frank extends his front left paw, enabling his dad to give it a small shake.
