Franken initially discovered Bean on the internet of her local animal rescue.
She was instantly taken with the cat and fell even more in love after learning about Bean’s background.
Bean had spent nearly a year in the shelter because no one thought she was cute. She’d been described as “grumpy-looking” and “ugly.”
But Franken didn’t see Bean in that light. It made her sad to think that others felt the same way. As a result, she adopted Bean. Bean was able to replace the void left by Joker, Franken’s other cat.
