On a frigid March day, a man preparing to relocate into his newly purchased residence made an unexpected discovery. Astounded, he discovered a pit bull chained in the cellar
He immediately contacted Stray Rescue of St. Louis, explaining, “I recently purchased a home with a pit bull confined in the basement. I do not know how long it has been there.”
A subsequent investigation revealed that a squatter had previously occupied the home and abruptly abandoned it, leaving the dog behind. St. Louis Stray Rescue personnel sprang into action without hesitating.
Although the proprietor was unavailable, his acquaintance helped the rescuers gain access to the residence.
