One British lady has made it her duty to provide our canine and feline friends the best possible end-of-life care.
Nicola Harrison’s quest started when she decided to help out at a local kennel as a volunteer. There, she took the heroic choice to take in a few of the dogs, most of them strays, to save them from certain death at the hands of the animal shelter.
At her home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Nicola now runs a refuge for dogs called the Grey Muzzle Canine Hospice Project.
Her main mission is to save abandoned, sick pets that have less than six months to live before they pass away.
Nicola spares no effort to provide these cherished canines with the finest last moments possible. She makes personalized bucket lists for each dog, celebrates their birthdays, and spoils them with goodies like steak on important occasions.
